Hey! I'm a 23 year old living on the north side of Chicago. I have a B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and currently work in the mechanical engineering field, designing MEP systems for large commercial and institutional buildings. We love Indian food. One of Katrina’s favorite meals when we are getting delivery or going out to an Indian restaurant like Marigold is Mutter Paneer. She likes this dish because it is full of Indian flavor, but has a mild spiciness that is balanced out with a creamy tomato base. She made this at [...]

Thin Mints are the overwhelming favorite across the globe, my personal favorite as well, and have withstood the test of time. Katrina’s favorite happens to be Samoas, also known as Caramel deLites. However, she recently purchased a box of Thin Mints from a coworker’s [...]

Katrina follows tons of blogs on Google Reader (tons!), and came across a quick and easy pasta recipe from 30 Bucks a Week. We have never made pasta before, and don’t have any special pasta making equipment, so we thought this would be a fun dish to make. Tina and Phil put together a shallot, [...]

A couple of weeks ago I signed up for the Daring Cooks and Daring Bakers challenges on thedaringkitchen.com. The first challenge I was able to complete was the Cooks challenge, and I must say, the Bakers challenge going up later this month is quite delicious. The challenge for February 2010 was Mezze, which is basically [...]
